Elevate your home with a staircase that blends beautiful design with flawless function. Whether it’s a new build or a stylish renovation, we create custom timber staircases that you’ll be proud of for years to come.
We believe your staircase is more than just a way to get from one floor to another – it’s the centrepiece of your home. Our small, dedicated team specialises in creating truly exceptional timber stairs. We pride ourselves on meticulous attention to detail, premium quality, and a passion for tackling complex and tricky designs that others won’t. For us, it’s about building a feature that is both beautiful and built to last.
Mid Coast Stairs is led by founder and lead craftsman, Matt McQuillan. A long-time local, Matt has spent years perfecting his skills in joinery and carpentry, working with other respected businesses in the area. It was always his dream to launch his own business – one where he could dedicate his full attention to the projects and clients he is passionate about.
We specialise in crafting bespoke timber staircases that become the stunning centrepiece of your home. From design to flawless installation, we ensure every step is a perfect fit for your space and style.
Complete the look and ensure the safety of your staircase with our custom handrail and balustrade solutions. We work with classic timber, modern glass, and sleek wire to perfectly match your home’s aesthetic.
Breathe new life into your home by transforming a dated or worn-out staircase. We can modernise your space by replacing old treads, posts, and balustrades for a stunning new look. We look after the whole process.
